A Detour

Lately we’ve been taking a detour on our walks. The second we near the park and Leila spots the swings, she starts squealing with joy at the prospect. By the time I park the stroller and pull back the canopy she is speechless with anticipation. Such joy in such a simple ritual. The family walk has won another devoted fan.
