the raw chocolate shake

I swear by this shake. It tastes good AND it makes me feel great!

Here is the recipe, with both formal and informal measurements. It makes one very generous portion, which is about the only portion size this Texas girl knows.

2 bulging handfuls of raw spinach (approx. 2 cups)
1 large spoonful raw cacao powder (2.5 T)
1 swirl raw agave nectar (1 T)
1 large, or 2 small frozen bananas (if you like bananas, then don’t be afraid to blend in 2 large)
½ cup seed, nut or coconut milk (my favorite is hemp milk), or water will do just fine too

    (for added fat and longer satiation, you might want to consider blending in ½ avocado, one-tablespoon flaxseed oil or a tablespoon raw almond butter)

    Blend into yummy goodness! I dare you to try it with even the pickiest of eaters.
